There are many things that Paul Mengert, AMG (Association Management Group) CEO, believes in strongly, but one of the strongest and most pervasive of his beliefs is that those who benefit from a community owes a tremendous debt and should give back to that community to the extent possible. To Paul, this duty is one of the most important any successful person has. That is certainly the key reason Paul Mengert founded AMG in his hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina way back in 1984 and why he will never move it.
The fact of the matter is, Paul Mengert doesn’t simply run AMG from Greensboro, he also has taught extensively with the Harvard Business Management Development Program in Greensboro and surrounding communities. To date, nearly 50 local companies have participated in that program, but their prestige has led numerous as large corporations to participate, as well, including such prominent companies like Duke Energy, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Pfizer, and, yes, even AMG. Paul Mengert loves being part of such a great program because he both teaches and learns from it, too.
